The entire Michigan State Spartan football team will undertake a 14-day quarantine after one player and two staff members have tested positive for the coronavirus, the school announced.
The school is not requiring the entire coaching staff to quarantine, just the two members who tested positive and any future staffer who exhibits symptoms.
“As part of the athletic department’s return to campus policy, student-athletes quarantine when coming into close contact with an individual who tests positive for COVID-19,” the school said in a prepared statement reported by ESPN. “The university has designated areas available to house individuals in quarantine as needed based upon the living arrangements for student-athletes.”
