The United States surpassed 1,000 coronavirus fatalities Thursday, the second straight day of crossing that milestone, using data from the COVID Tracking Project.
COVID Tracking Project recorded 53,000 new cases, while the worldometers.info tracker registered more than 64,000 new coronavirus cases. Differences in collected data occurs due to various collecting times and techniques.
Officially, the Florida Department of Health announced 186 coronavirus fatalities, a new state daily high and led the nation. California, Texas and Arizona also saw more than 100 fatalities.
