The state government of Florida is closing coronavirus test sites as major storm, Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine, heads on a path targeting the Florida peninsula, according to NPR. The storm will be renamed Tropical Storm Isaias likely within the next two days.
After closing Thursday evening, testing sites suspend operations at least until Tuesday, depending on the length and severity of the storm.
The storm is currently about 100 miles north of the US Virgin Islands on a path that will take it northerly directly up the entirety of the state of Florida. (It may hit a portion of Alabama in a preliminary map that has not been altered by President Trump’s Sharpie.)
