Herman Cain, the former republican presidential candidate and pizza baron, has died from coronavirus, CNN is reporting. He was 74 years old.
Cain appeared at Trump’s June 19th rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma without a mask, and days later reported contracting coronavirus. He was soon after hospitalized.
Running on a “9-9-9” economic plan, Cain launched a campaign for the republican nomination for president in 2012, not making it into primary season after allegations of sexual misconduct became public.
Cain was president and CEO of Godfather Pizza before becoming the chairman of the board for Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and two children.
