Poll: 58% of Americans don't trust Trump on coronavirus

A new NBC/SurveyMonkey poll shows that 58% of Americans do not trust what President Trump says about the coronavirus, but a majority trust Dr. Anthony Fauci and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Only 31% of Americans believe Trump’s statements about the pandemic and the government’s response to it. Fifty-one percent trust Fauci, and 55% trust the CDC.

Twice as many republicans than Democrats believe Trump, with 69% of GOP members saying they believe Trump, demonstrating a significant partisan divide on who members of the parties believe regarding information about the coronavirus.
