Both California and Texas logged more than 7,000 new cases Thursday, with Florida recording 6,000 cases. Texas tallied its fourth highest daily fatality rate with 275 deaths from coronavirus.
Across the world, Brazil and India again topped the United States in the number of new cases, with Brazil cataloguing 1,300 deaths.
