Following a tip of a man wanted for murder, police raided a Daytona Beach, Florida apartment where they confronted the armed suspect, with an officer’s bodycam recording him being struck by a bullet, WKMG News 6 reports.
As police swept through the apartment, the officer knocks down a bedroom door, and the armed suspect jumps around a corner firing a weapon. The lead officer is hit in the chest, falling backwards, and other officers return fire.
“I’m hit!” the officer yells.
A woman in the apartment starts screaming, and then opens the door where the suspect lies on the ground. After exiting the apartment, the officer examines his vest, saying “No holes, man.”
The suspect died in the exchange of gunfire.
