Two members of the White House residential staff tested positive for coronavirus in the past two weeks, cases that were not previously disclosed to the media, ABC News reports.
The cases are further examples of the spread of the virus within the White House, which may have contributed to the outbreak that infected President Trump and the Third First Lady.
The staffers reportedly were not in direct contact with either Trump or the Third First Lady.
White House spokesperson Judd Deere said the White House "does take any positive case seriously and has extensive plans and procedures in place to prevent further spread. A full and complete contact trace consistent with CDC guidelines is included in that and appropriate notifications and recommendations are made. "
