Members of the US Secret Service are increasing concerned about the dangers its agents are facing in the careless actions President Trump and the Administration take during the White House coronavirus outbreak, CNN reports.
Sunday’s caravan up and down Rockville Pike outside Walter Reed Military Medical Center, which allowed Trump to wave to a hundred or so supporters along the street, put agents at extreme danger for catching the virus.
The presidential Chevy Suburban is hermetically sealed with an air recirculation system to protect against chemical attack. However, with Trump wearing only a cloth, the agents are at great risk of catching the virus. The agents in the car have now been quarantined for two weeks.
“That should never have happened,” one current Secret Service agent. “I mean, I wouldn’t want to be around them. The frustration with how we’re treated when it comes to decisions on this illness goes back before this though. We’re not disposable.”
“It was simply reckless,” another agent said.
The ego trip took part after Trump tweeted a video in which he said “understood coronavirus” more now that he’s contracted it, regardless of his actions.
