Just one week since being admitting to the hospital with coronavirus, President Trump will address a gathering on the South Lawn, highlighting “law and order,” despite a COVID outbreak at the White House, ABC News reports.
Organized by conservative gadfly Candace Owens’ Blexit group, the event will urge Black Americans to leave the Democratic Party. Trump will make “remarks to peaceful protesters for law and order,” according to an invitation received by ABC News.
Trump will address the crowd from the Truman Balcony overlooking the South Lawn, the same location where he staged his photo op after leaving Walter Reed Military Medical Center.
The White House has not announced how many people would be in attendance, or if masking and social distancing regulations would be enforced.
At least a dozen people who attended a Rose Garden event to introduce Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett contracted coronavirus, and additional White House staffers have tested positive.
