Robert Brissette, a Utah Trump supporter, intentionally coughed on peaceful Black Lives Matter demonstrators at a gas station in Kanab, Utah, mocking concerns about the coronavirus, the New York Daily News reports.
“Oh, I’m so scared of your little fucking virus,” Brissette said in a mocking voice after intentionally coughing in the face of protesters who were set up on a sidewalk by the gas station. “You look like a little pansy-ass piece of shit.”

Brissette drove into the gas station in a pickup truck flying a Trump flag. He approached the group as he screamed “Black lives don’t matter. All lives matter!”
A LinkedIn page for a Robert Brissette in Kanab lists his profession as “auto thec [sic] at sundance transportatio [sic] services”. He also reportedly set up a GoFundMe page to pay for legal costs for criminal charges he expects; the page has since been deactivated.
After the incident, Brissette changed his Facebook page profile to read, “Lives matter! If you need a color in from [sic] of those words, YOU’RE a racist.”
Intentionally coughing on someone, particularly to spread a disease or threaten someone, is considered an assault in many jurisdictions. There is no word on if a complaint has been filed against Brissette.
