Florida republican Senator Rick Scott has made a six-figure ad buy in major markets to help the flagging campaign of incumbent GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and to boost his prospect in 2024, Politico reports.
The former CEO of a hospital chain found guilty of a insurance fraud and fined $2 billion, Scott reportedly has aspirations for the White House himself, aiming at a 2024 run. His assistance for Trump will position him as a power playing in the republican Party in coming years.
Scott has spend much of his own money he received from Columbia/HCA on his campaigns for governor and Senator, on which he used $150 million of his own funds.
Scott’s ad, which figures a “one-shot” of his bald head telling people about a revolutionary socialist agenda of Democrats who control Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, will be aired in eight of Florida’s largest media markets.
Scott goes on to demean “Medicare for all,” in an unironic fashion, given his company’s fraudulent dealings with the program when he was CEO of Columbia/HCA.
