Two days after Donald Trump, Jr. said coronavirus fatalities are “almost nothing,” the US eclipsed 900 coronavirus fatalities for the fifth consecutive day.
The United States also surpassed 80,000 new daily coronavirus cases for the sixth time in nine days. The seven-day moving average hit an all-time high of 81,631.
Illinois jumped to the top of new reported cases, recording just shy of 8,000, while Missouri recorded the most fatalities with 77.
