An Illinois shooting spree that went from Chicago to 20-miles north in Evanston, Illinois left three people dead and four wounded, with suspect killed in a shootout with police, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Police say 32-year-old Jason Nightengale, a 32-year-old Black man from Chicago, randomly targeted his victims, which included a 15-year-old girl and an 81-year-old woman. Starting in the South Side of Chicago, Nightengale shot three people, then drove through the city shooting random people, at one point backtracking into the city to the site of the third shooting where he fired at police officers investigating that crime.
Nightengale then drove north to Evanston, where he was stopped by Evanston Police. A gunfight ensured and Nightengale was killed. Throughout the spree, Nightengale posted video snippets to Facebook along the way.
