Trump adds another South Carolina lawyer to impeachment team

With exactly two weeks to go before his Senate impeachment trial, Donald Trump has added another lawyer to his defense team, his second selection to the team and the second lawyer from South Carolina, WCSC CBS-5 in Charleston reports.

Deborah Barbier, a former federal prosecutor who is in private practice as a criminal defense attorney in Columbia, South Carolina, joins Butch Bowers as the members of the Trump team that will start the impeachment trial on February 8th.

Barbier heads a two-lawyer firm that also includes a paralegal. Her websites states her practice areas include asset forfeiture, business litigation, criminal defense, drug diversion, health care lawsuits, internal investigation and qui tam (whistleblower) lawsuits.
