Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio went on an epic rant on the floor of the House, calling out his Republican colleagues to stop grandstanding about meaningless culture war topics and to join Democrats to work to help American workers and families.
“Heaven forbid we pass something that helps the damn workers in the United States of America,” Ryan shouts.
“We talk about pensions; you complain,” Ryan added, pointing toward Republican obstructionism while they claim to be the new party for unions and workers. “We talk about a minimum wage increase; you complain. We talk about giving them the right to organize; you complain. … Now stop talking about Dr. Seuss and start working with us on behalf of the American workers.”
