Claiming to be bankrupt so they can relocate and avoid a New York state investigation into self-dealing and other organizational corruption, the National Rifle Association will still dedicate two million dollars to oppose an expected Biden gun control agenda, the Washington Post reports.
The group will lobby to oppose the nomination of David Chipman to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Because of NRA opposition, there hasn’t been a Senate-confirmed ATF director since 2006.
Also on the NRA agenda: advertising in Maine, Montana and West Virginia propagandizing to “stop Biden’s gun grab.”
