A fire at a hospital designated to treat COVID-19 patients in Baghdad caught fire on Saturday, killing 27 and injuring 46, Reuters reports. The fire reportedly started when an accident ignited an oxygen tank, causing it to explode.
The head of Iraqi civil defense unit reported that the fire broke out on a floor of the hospital used for pulmonary intensive care unit, where a number of patients were on ventilators. Ninety people out of the 120 patients in the hospital were rescued.
