In the fourth mass murder in the past week, three people were killed and four injured in a mass shooting in St. Louis Monday night, according to USA Today. Two of the dead were found with multiple gunshot wounds outside a convenience store in the city’s Greater Ville neighborhood, with the third found in a nearby schoolyard.
The three fatalities, aged 31 to 44, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others are in critical but stable condition, and another was in stable condition at a local hospital. The fourth person wounded was treated at the scene and released.
The shooting marks the 21st mass shooting, with at least four people wounded, in the past week in the United States. It’s the fourth mass murder, with at least three killed, over that time.
Last Tuesday, five people were killed and three injured in a shooting in Chicago. Three people were killed and two wounded in Albertville, Alabama the same day. On Sunday, three were killed and five wounded in Richmond, California.
