Tucker’s slated to be the keynote speaker at “MCC Feszt” on Saturday, which apparently is some sort of SXSW-type shindig for Hungarian nationalism. “The MCC Feszt offers three days of public, interactive and musical events in the center of Esztergom, where ‘Hungarian talent’ is celebrated and where the essence of the MCC is reflected: community, public life, culture, science, sports, professional debates, music, dance, and entertainment” says the English-language version of the event’s website, which doesn’t do a whole lot to explain why their main act is an American TV host – and someone who we’re going to go out on a limb and say is not ethnically Hungarian and does not speak the language. Our best guess is that when an Orbanite says “Hungarian talent” it means the same thing as when Tucker Carlson and his ilk speak highly of “Traditional Americans”.
