A release from the Texas Education Agency included this capitulation from the Texas Mussolini: “Please note: mask provisions of GA-38 [Governor Abbott’s ban on mask requirements for public schools] are not being enforced as the result of ongoing litigation. Further guidance will be made available after the court issues are resolved.”
Of course, this is kind of a “win-win” for Abbott, as he gets to recognize reality and let districts impose mask mandates to protect their students, while insisting that he’s the victim of the woke mob and leftist judges, probably as the result of a huge liberal conspiracy funded by George Soros as part of an effort to get rid of all Texas oil refineries and replace them with socialist communes where the gays all teach each other to do pottery and sew pussy hats.
On the bright side, at least now the districts can impose the mask mandates and hopefully this will mean fewer students and teachers dying of COVID-19.
