Accused murderer Kyle Rittenhouse made a video weeks before he killed two people in Kenosha, Wisconsin in which he apparently watched people looting a CVS and he mused, “Bro, I wish I had my fucking AR. I’d start shooting rounds at them.”
According to Insider, Rittenhouse made the video 15 days before he traveled to Kenosha during the riots that occurred after police shot Jacob Blake to, he claimed, help protect local businesses. He obtained an AR-15 that he had a friend buy for him because he could not legally purchase one in Wisconsin.
Prosecutors are seeking to admit the tape into evidence in Rittenhouse’s trial for the killings of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26. Rittenhouse also shot and wounded 26-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz.
It’s not clear if Rittenhouse filmed the incident himself, if he was with the person who filmed it or if he added the audio commentary later.
“The video proves that the defendant was ready and willing to use deadly force in a situation where it was completely unjustified,” the motion said. “The video also demonstrates that the defendant fervently sought to insert himself as an armed vigilante into situations that had nothing to do with him.”
