The “Donald J Trump” Adopt-A-Highway sign on the Henry Hudson Parkway in on the Upper West Side of Manhattan was removed by the New York City Department of Transportation earlier this week, Gothamist reports. Locals had been trying to have it taken down for years, but it was the expiry of the sponsorship contract and the city declining to renew it that finally did the sign in, according to a letter from NYC DOT Manhattan Commissioner Ed Pincar to New York State Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal. The sign had been vandalized repeatedly over the years.
