Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says more than 60 schools in the Detroit area are closed Friday as copycat threats pour in after the deadly Oxford High School shooting, Yahoo News reports. Over 100 direct threats or social media posts threatening attacks on schools have surfaced in recent days, Bouchard said. “We anticipated a flood of false threats. I don’t know what is in people’s minds to think after a real tragedy it makes sense to make threats,” Bouchard told reporters at a Thursday press conference.
