Gainesville, Florida man Andre Abrams, 57, was arrested on three counts of felony aggravated assault after blasting a flamethrower toward a car with three teenagers inside in a November 30th dispute over parking, CBS Miami reports. No one was hurt in the incident. Cops identified the weapon as a XM42 Lite Flamethrower, sold by X Products LLC of Vancouver, Washington for $900 at their website. Flamethrowers are legal to own in every state except for Maryland and California.
There are no federal laws against the sale of flamethrowers because they’re not considered “firearms”. And yes, you guessed correctly. Abrams is a registered Republican.
