Evangelical former reality TV star and dad to 19 children (including a recently convicted pedophile and another suspected child abuser) Jim Bob Duggar came in third in Tuesday’s Arkansas state Senate District 7 Republican primary with 456 votes, or 15%, of the total, the Associated Press reports. The top two of the four candidates (Colby Fulfer, 46% and Steve Unger, 36%) who ran will face each other in a January 11th primary runoff that National Zero won’t be reporting on, so this is likely the last you’ll read about the 2021-2022 Arkansas state Senate District 7 special election.
So now would be the time to mention that the 4th place candidate (188 votes, or 6%) is named Edge Nowlin. All four were running to fill the seat left empty by former state Senator Lance Eads, who resigned to take a job in the private sector. He’s probably enjoying his holidays, not worrying about having his son facing decades in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
