Connecticut dog Henry Dowling, 8, unemployed, is being hailed as a hero after he alerted his owners their 9 month old girl was in distress and having trouble breathing, Good Morning America reports. “He was head-butting the door open and going into her room and standing there. And every time I shooed him away, he would go back in as soon as my back was turned” said Kelly Dowling of the Boston terrier. Dolwing and her husband Jeff discovered their unidentified infant’s airway was obstructed, and immediately rushed her to the hospital. Doctors were able to clear the child’s airway and the family was back home several hours later. “We’re definitely spoiling the dog a little bit more. He was allowed to sleep in bed with me last night and he’s got a steak in his future” said Jeff Dowling, who should be screamed at and shamed for being a cheap bastard and only giving Henry a steak and not a lifetime supply of steaks as a reward for saving his daughter’s life.
