Ethan Schmidt, a supporter of Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, posted an abhorrent video in which he brags about harassing people who wear masks, particularly cancer patients. Lake has appeared in videos for Schmidt’s AntiMaskersClubAZ social media account, and she has so far refused to denounce the statements by Schmidt.
“Hey, guys, just a fer-riendly reminder. My favorite pastime is harassing cancer patients and people that wear masks. I love to just harass people, put a camera in their face and just harass them and yell at them and follow them around, even when they tell me to leave, I don’t leave and just press ’em and press ’em and press ’em and press ’em. That’s my favorite thing to do, just harass people. I just love harassin’ people, especially cancer patients ’cause they’re weak and vulnerable, weak and vulnerable and easy targets. I love harassing cancer patients.”
