My office is now getting calls from folks who say they watch Tucker Carlson and are upset that we're not siding with Russia in its threats to invade Ukraine, and who want me to support Russia's "reasonable" positions.

That’s New Jersey Dem Congressman Tom Malinowski, reporting that his Fox News-watching constituents seem to really see the kind of danger Ukraine poses to Putin’s Russia. And they’re not alone in the “give peace a chance” and “flower power” right wing hippie bullshit.
Why is the President of the United States willing to send Americans to die protecting European Sovereignty?
If our NATO "Allies" aren't even willing to fund their obligations and surge their own troops to protect their borders, why should we?

LOL. When the Ukrainian government comes out and tells you that the United States President and CIA are lying about what’s happening in their country. There is quite literally no Russian threat. Biden crime family is trying to expand their business empire in the region. https://t.co/7LV9U9AORn

Now to clarify our position, we are NOT advocating for war with Russia. It’s going to be very bad, not just for our service members being put in harms’ way but for a great deal of Ukrainian, European, and even American civilians who will in all probability be collateral damage. It’s also true that Vladimir Putin is a desperate, failed leader who poses a serious danger to the rest of the world and invading Ukraine would not be the last aggressive action he would take if left unchecked.
There is no right or wrong answer to whether or not military action to defend Ukraine is the smart or right thing to do. It is however crystal fucking clear that at least one of the four above MAGA influencers plus Carlson are being paid to dissuade the American public and undermine confidence in our military’s readiness to engage with Russian forces on the battlefield. There’s a line between arguing in bad faith and being a fifth columnist, an actual traitor and they’re crossing it if they haven’t already actively done so and cashed a check from a Russian shell company.
