Nine people were killed in a six-car traffic accident in North Las Vegas Saturday night after a car traveling at high speed ran through a red light and triggered the multi-vehicle pile-up in a residential area of the city, KTNV ABC-13 Las Vegas reports.
Two people in a Dodge Charger were driving northbound in a neighborhood around 3 p.m. local time near some schools when it ran the red light near West Cheyenne Avenue and Commerce Street. The car slammed into multiple cars.
Nine people were declared dead at the scene, and one was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A child was reportedly among the dead.
