Recently released financial disclosure forms show Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-GA) purchased stocks of defense contractors in the weeks before the Russian invasion of Ukraine–and just a day before deriding “war profiteers” on Twitter.
Reporting by truthout.org shows Greene purchased between $1,000 and $15,000 in stock of defense contractors Caterpillar and Lockheed Martin on February 22nd. She also purchased similar ranges of stock in energy companies Chevron (the French oil company) and NextEra Energy (which generates the majority of its energy from renewables). All those stocks have seen significant increases since the Russian attack, with Lockheed Martin gaining 20%.
Besides the hypocrisy of ranting about the evils of the French renewable energy AOC lovin’ Mainstream Media while buying those companies’ stocks, Marge then decided to go Full Monty with hypocrisy about the war by tweeting about the immorality of people who profit from war:
War and rumors of war is incredibly profitable and convenient.
And just like that, the media now has a lie to use as the reason for our shattered economy and out of control inflation.
What a sad existence it must be to shill for Globalism & America Last politicians.
