Oleksandr Hruzevych, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, claims that retreating Russian troops – who had anticipated capturing Kyiv within two days of the invasion’s launch on February 24th – left behind dress uniforms they had packed for a possible victory parade in the Ukrainian capital, Insider reports. “We also find some parade uniforms there, so they expected to get Kyiv in two days and then have a parade here. So we can say now that we have completely destroyed their plans,” Hruzevych said Thursday, describing to reporters what Ukrainian troops had found in abandoned Russian armored vehicles.
