Proto-oligarch Elon Musk said that he would restore the Twitter account of former President and anti-Constitutionalist Donald Trump is Musk’s offer to buy the social media platform is finalized, CNBC reports.
“Permanent bans should be extremely rare and really reserved for accounts that are bots, or scam, spam accounts… I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump,” Musk said at a conference being held in London, England.
Trump was banned by Twitter for multiple violations of the platforms terms of service, including propagating false information about the coronavirus, inciting violence and spreading lies about the 2020 presidential election, which would be perfectly fine for the leader of the free world under Musk’s rule.
