Messages obtained by the Denver Post and Politico show that in December 2020 when John Eastman was a visiting professor at University of Colorado-Boulder he used his email account there to communicate with a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House to toss out mail-in ballots and overturn the Orange God Emperor’s defeat before switching to the Jan 6th overturn strategy.

“Having done that math, you’d be left with a significant Trump lead that would bolster the argument for the Legislature adopting a slate of Trump electors – perfectly within your authority to do anyway, but now bolstered by the untainted popular vote. That would help provide some cover” Eastman wrote to Pennsylvania state Rep. Russ Diamond on December 4th while advising him on how to craft the legislation overturning the vote, adding “I would also include after paragraph 3 a specific legislative determination that the slate of electors certified by the governor under the illegally-conducted election are also null and void.” Later that day Diamond parroted the same bullshit back to Eastman after Team Trump had a very bad day in courts far and wide.

“Honestly, the Trump legal team was not exactly stellar at PA’s hearing, failed to provide the affidavits of their witnesses, and made a glaring error by purporting that more ballots had been returned than mailed out. It is for this reason that I so latched onto your comments that actual fraud is irrelevant when the election itself is unlawful,” Diamond wrote.

The resolution went nowhere because, as neither of these insurrectionist pieces of shit appear to be aware, there was no chance of either chamber of the Pennsylvania state legislature convening a session before the end of 2020. The leaders fucking said as much five days earlier. It’s in the state Constitution. Then on December 13th, the eve of the state level electoral certifications, Eastman writes “Why not just assert the right to appoint an alternate slate of electors and have them meet and vote on Monday as well,” showing he was already sewing the seeds of his next plan for the 6th.
