Congresswoman and four-times arrested wife of a registered sex offender Lauren Boebert (Q-Colo.) tried to swipe at her primary challenger, state senator Don Coram, by claiming he sells “hot hemp,” a form of hemp that has THC levels above legal limits, which sent laughter through the crowd. Reading from a script with a pre-written zinger, the child who demeans survivors of mass shootings said in her typical hyper teenage voice, “He voted for an anti-police bill. But, hey, maybe with this decriminalization of hemp law, maybe I don’t understand it completely, and there were alternative motors, motives. I’m thinkin’ maybe you were worried about being prosecuted as a felon yourself for selling hot hemp.”
Boebert raises her finger in the air for emphasis. The audience erupts in laughter, with some murmuring in disbelief that she would make such an outlandish claim. “Seven lab reports showing you selling at THC levels–ORDER!” Boebert claims for the moderator to call order because people are giggling and murmuring loudly. “Seven lab reports show you selling at TLC levels, THC levels that qualifies as a Schedule 1 narcotic [Cannabis is a Schedule 1 federal narcotic.] That makes you an illegal drug dealer with a vote that may be changed that. [The audience again starts laughing.] Sounds corrupt to me and sounds corrupt to [inaudible]. That’s all.” A couple people clap when she finishes.
Coram adjusts his glasses with a smile on his face. “Oh, thank you,” he says with dripping sarcasm.
