For the fifth time in eight days, a mass shooting in a Red State has ended in death. This time, at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Some updates:
- A Tulsa City Council member told The Oklahoman the shooter was targeting a specific person, with some reports saying he was looking for a doctor who wasn’t at the hospital Wednesday.
- The shooter used a rifle and a handgun. The types of weapons have not yet been specified.
- The shooter, reported to be between 35 and 40, took his own life.
- Four people were murdered by the shooter.
- An Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad were called to a home in Muskogee after getting a report that the shooter left an explosive in the house, but bomb-sniffing found no trace of explosives.
- Because no national television cameras are covering it live, Ted Cruz has not rushed to the scene.
