This is a screenshot of an article published by Newsweek Friday afternoon, under the headline “Trump May Be Charged for Trying to Overthrow Election by End of the Month”:
Whoa, that’s a big deal, right? Fani Willis said on Friday that within three weeks she will make a decision on whether or not to charge fat former President Trump over his attempted to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia. That’s like – well you think you would have seen that elsewhere, all over the news on Friday considering people have been waiting years for the fat bastard to finally face any legal consequences whatsoever for his crimes. You’d think that maybe Newsweek should kinda actually link to the Associated Press interview with Willis. Oh but wait here is is. Dated January 10, 2022, with the verbatim quote from the interview “I believe in 2022 a decision will be made in that case… I certainly think that in the first half of the year that decisions will be made.”
Meaning Newsweek just made that part up about it being on Friday. It does not necessarily mean Willis is not sticking to the timeline she publicly stated five months ago or that there has not been some serious progress in her investigation just in the last few weeks, but she has not to our knowledge given an update since February when she told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution it could be up to a year (but probably not that long) for her to move forward with charging the fat fuck.
But hey, that wasn’t going to stop some chode at Newsweek from saying “Well it’s almost halfway through the year so let’s pretend Willis gave an update today and hope the libs will be too excited to notice the lack of sourcing.” We always knew it was a piece of shit organization, we just didn’t know they were Hill or RawStory bad.
