Former Trump White House aide Alyssa Farah Griffin told CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday that the Orange Tyrant admitted to her he had lost to Joe Biden in November 2020, recalling that Trump had “blurted out watching Joe Biden on TV, ‘Can you believe I lost to this guy?'”
Griffin said she doesn’t think it’s the “smocking gun”, however, explaining “I’m not of the mind that this is going to take down Donald Trump in a legal sort of way. But I do think it’s going to inform the public about a man who lost and couldn’t do what we’ve done for the entirety of our history, which is allow a peaceful transition of power.” Trump himself seems very fixated on this “I actually believed it” defense, ranting on Truth Social Sunday “The highly partisan Unselects are trying to create a FAKE narrative, for whatever reason but only with evil intention, that ‘He (me) knew he lost the Election.’ This is completely false. I felt the Election was RIGGED & STOLLEN [sic], have from the very beginning, & have only gotten stronger in that belief with time & large amounts of additional evidence and proof. In my mind I have, & HAVE HAD, NO QUESTION” and blah blah blah.
