A top Syrian ISIS leader Maher al-Agal was canceled in a US airstrike in Syria on Tuesday, NBC News reports. Al-Agal was one of the four top ISIS leaders still at large. “The removal of these ISIS leaders will disrupt the terrorist organization’s ability to further plot and carry out attacks,” said US CENTCOM spokesman Colonel Joe Buccino. Top ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was canceled in a February US special forces operation on a compound in Northwestern Syria.
