MAGA asshole Wisconsin governor candidate Tim Michels told a reporter Tuesday he would “need to see the details,” of the moronic fantasy that the 2020 election could be “decertified” in the state, a fan fiction story that has gained traction among the Trump cult since last week’s 4-3 state Supreme Court ruling that ballot drop boxes were not permitted under state law even though they had been used in elections for decades prior, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
“You know, I have to work with the Legislature and see what these bills look like,” Michels said, sounding much more like he knows this is stupid bullshit but would never risk the consequences of being honest with the Trump cult. Proponents of the “decertification” plan have yet to explain how the retroactive effect of the state Supreme Court ruling is supposed to apply only to the 2020 Presidential election in the state and not the 2016 election, which Trump won, nor literally any of the other thousands of individual races in the state that were decided since absentee ballot drop boxes came into use decades ago, or why they were suddenly only a problem after Trump lost. But maybe the best part of political newcomer Michels’ non-committal answer on “decertification” is that his primary rival, state Rep Timmy Ramthun, is the jackass who came up with the idea. Ramthun was very sad over being snubbed for Trump’s endorsement last month.
