GOP Maryland Senate candidate Ryan Dark White, also known as Dr. John McGreevey

Every once in a while, we here at NatZero uncover a story that perfectly encapsulates just how screwed up today’s Republicans are, and here’s today’s :

Ryan Dark White–with a name that one can only think is meant to express how deeply, inherently white he is–a 54-year-old self-declared GOP candidate running for the US Senate from Maryland, was arrested by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for falsely claiming that a child was being sex-trafficked at the adult book store in Edgewood, where he worked.

Dark White, who also goes by the name Dr. Jon McGreevey, reported to the local sheriff that a 10 to 12 year old girl was being forced by an adult male to perform sex acts on men at Pulaski Video, where Mr. Dr. DarkWhite McGreevey is employed and which doesn’t even show up in Yelp’s reviews of adult bookstores in Edgewood, a town of 25,000 on the north end of Chesapeake Bay.  The sheriff’s office investigated and found bupkis to support his claim.

The Harford County Child Advocacy Center investigated the claim and found the man and child Mr. Dr. DarkWhite McGreevey claimed were involved and dismissed the complaint, but forwarded it to the sheriff’s office for investigation.

His campaign website gives no indication in what field, precisely, Dark White/McGreevey has his doctorate.  In fact, it gives no biographical information about the candidate at all, not even his apparently lengthy employment at an adult book store.  There are no events for the campaign listed after December 2021, and the “Media” tab shows about a dozen photos of him chatting with three people at some bar.  Pundits put Mr. Dr. DarkWhite McGreevey’s chances of taking the Senate seat at hysterically low, but Rasmussen would likely give him a 5% chance simply because he identifies as Republican.
