A bus full of passengers traveling to Nairobi, Kenya plunged off a bridge after its brakes apparently failed, causing the driver to lose control at high speed, killing at least 21 people Sunday, ABC News reports.
The head of the local rescue team said the death toll from the accident, which occurred at 6:30 p.m. local time, is likely to rise because rescue operations had to be suspended at nightfall.
This is the second mass-casualty bus accident in Kenya this month: on July 8th, another accident killed 20 people.
