I know: it’s crazy. The President of the United States went to the site of an environmental disaster, likely exacerbated by human destruction of the ecosystem and intensified by climate change, and he was sympathetic to the victims and caring for their lives. He didn’t throw paper towels. He didn’t joke about them having a boat land in their backyards, or now having a swimming pool. President Joe Biden didn’t do that during his trip Monday to flood-ravaged Kentucky.
After a spectacular week when he had significant legislative and foreign relations successes, he didn’t stroke his own ego by touting his claimed achievements–not that TFG had a list of actual productive achievements, but just a list of lies and unfulfilled promises. It’s so nice having a leader who can think of someone other than himself, and one that shows genuine concern for his constituents.
