MAGA asshole Congressman Scott Perry told Fox News on Tuesday that FBI agents came and relieved him of his cell phone pursuant to a subpoena. “This morning, while traveling with my family, 3 FBI agents visited me and seized my cell phone. They made no attempt to contact my lawyer, who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone if that was their wish. I’m outraged — though not surprised — that the FBI under the direction of Merrick Garland’s DOJ, would seize the phone of a sitting Member of Congress,” Perry said in a statement to Fox News. “My phone contains info about my legislative and political activities, and personal/private discussions with my wife, family, constituents, and friends. None of this is the government’s business.”
“Wahhhhhhh!” the loser may or may not have said afterward. The seizure calls further into question whether the Mar-a-Lago raid was really about classified documents, whether it was merely used as a pretext for the FBI to get in the door or if was unrelated to Trump pilfering boxes of White House materials entirely. It’s a pretty safe bet Scott Perry had nothing to do with Trump stealing the letter from Kim Jong Un and the Sharpiegate hurricane map. His iinvolvement with the Trump coup attempt of December 2020 – January 2021 is a different story though.
