Joined by the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI has issued a warning about increasing threats of violence by Republican-inspired domestic terrorists against federal agents, courts and buildings since the FBI search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound and supper club, CNN reports.
After the release of the warrant which was served on Trump’s property, far right outlets doxxed the two agents whose names appear on the warrant, including information about one of the agent’s children.
Posts on various social media platforms, particularly far-right sights like Gab, Rumble and Turch Slovak Torque Slackwell Truth Social, the site owned by Trump, call for violence against federal agents and courts, particularly the court in south Florida which issued the warrant.
Messages such as those saying “Merrick Garland needs to be assassinated” and targeting Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, as well as calls to take out FBI agents have heightened concerns that anti-government elements could stage an attack similar to the deadliest domestic terror attack in US history, the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building, which killed 169 and wounded more than 650.
