ATTN Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit: I skimmed your open letter to Republican National Party Chairwoman Ronna Not-Romney McDaniel and let me start off by saying I agree with you she’s a weak and worthless excuse for a leader whose fecklessness and cowardice is surpassed only by Kevin McCarthy’s. She should have fallen on the sword after overseeing the GOP losing the House, the Senate, and the Presidency in the span of less than two years, yet she remains on the job.
This next paragraph was going to start with “However, where we disagree is…” but upon reflection I actually kind of like your idea to discourage your readers from voting early, be it in person or by mail in jurisdictions which allow it. While in some crucial states and districts that could result in another “Red Mirage” in which the same-day vote favoring Republicans ends up getting reported first before the Dem-heavy mail-in ballots are processed, that’s kind of already priced in for us after 2020. Plus it’ll be less pronounced this year as certainly some folks who voted by mail in 2020 for fear of COVID exposure will go back to doing so in person, though plenty others will probably have developed a preference for voting by mail and will do so as long as they’re allowed.
Now the part where you tell Ronna she’s “suggesting people vote almost 3 weeks before election day. This would allow Democrats massive insight into who voted, who has not, areas of low participation, the vote gaps in races, and much more. In the days and weeks leading up to election day, Democrats have near real time data on mail-in ballots, in-person voters, UOCAVA, provisional, everything. Their voting analytics systems rival that of NASA,” and that “Conservatives can help disrupt their massive insight by shortening the opportunity of Democrat election malfeasance. That means you vote on election day, and in person,” actually doesn’t make any fucking sense because even if, as you claim, they would use the early vote data to “cheat” their analysts would be able to just use the numbers gleaned from Dem voters to figure out where the holes need to be plugged based on population stats. Maybe not 100% as clear of a picture if guys like yourself would encourage your fans to vote early instead of discouraging it, but probably pretty damn close.
But hey, if it stops one of your fans from taking a leisurely stroll down to a local clerk and filling out a ballot this Saturday and having their vote counted for some fucking Nazi like Kari Lake or Doug Mastriano or Tudor Dixon and instead leaving it up to a roughly 12 hour window in which they could be hindered by bad weather, car trouble, sickness, getting too shitfaced at happy hour, having to bail son out of jail for drug possession, or any one or more of millions of other exigent variables, then we’re not going to try to slow your roll. You do you Jim. Just 1% to 2% of your hundreds of thousands of readers not ending up voting because of circumstances in just the right places could make the difference. We appreciate your unintentional efforts to help preserve American democracy. It’s the least you can do after how much you fucking damaged it.
