A horseback rider “galloping through traffic” and “refusing to pull the horse over” was arrested and charged with “driving” under the influence after a brief pursuit by cops in Whittier, California on Saturday, KTLA reports. “At the conclusion, a suspect was taken into custody and the horse was brought to our station, where it received lots of ❤️ from our team,” said Whittier PD in an Instagram post showing the cops leading the horse to water in a plastic container (It’s not clear if they could make him drink, however). The incident further narrows our understanding of what the law allows one to operate for personal transportation while intoxicated. It’s just walk or nothing now, right?
