Republican South Carolina Senator and fainting couch aficionado Lindsey Graham must testify before the Fulton County [Georgia] grand jury about his involvement in and knowledge of plans to pressure state elections officials to overturn the authentic results of the 2020 presidential election in the state so Donald Trump, not Joe Biden, would get the state’s Electoral College votes, a panel of judges for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled.
Graham had attempted to quash the subpoena on the grounds that he was protected from any inquiry by the Speech and Debate clause of the Constitution that protects members of Congress from external investigations so long as the individual is conducting proper legislative work.
