Chris Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax, made a horrible business decision and like all conservatives, he can’t deal with the backlash. After Newsmax demanded television providers pay them a carriage fee–a charge paid by the provider to content providers–after years of not charging a fee, Ruddy was shocked–shocked! I say–to find the providers didn’t want to pay to air the third-tier network’s propaganda for its 13 million customers. Apparently, Ruddy doesn’t like capitalism, where service providers get paid commensurate to the quality of service they provide. In this case, apparently, the value of Newsmax programming to DirecTV is …(calculating… carry the two… divide by pi)…exactly zero.
