A British judge on Friday sentenced 19 year-old white nationalist Daniel Harris to more than 11 years in prison following his conviction on five counts of encouraging terrorism after ruling that videos he produced had encouraged American MAGA terrorists Peyton Gendron and Anderson Lee Aldrich to kill ten Black shoppers at a supermarket in Buffalo and five patrons at an LGBT nightclub in Colorado Springs, respectively, last year, CNN reports. Harris was also convicted on one count of possession of material for terrorist purposes over 3D printer files for weapon components found at his home.
“What they did was truly appalling but what they did was no more than you intended to encourage others to do when publishing this material online,” Judge Patrick Field told Harris at the sentencing at a courthouse in Manchester. Both Gendron and Aldrich had watched Harris’s video titled “How to Achieve Victory” promoting “total extermination of sub-humans once and for all,” before their rampages. Harris’s prior convictions, including one for vandalizing a George Floyd memorial in Manchester were cited by the judge as an aggravating factor in the harsh sentence.
